Two QNT wallets that had remained largely inactive for more than three years moved a combined 42,450 QNT worth roughly $10 million Tuesday as Quant experienced unusually volatile trading.
Lookonchain identified one wallet transferring 8,250 QNT, valued around $1.88 million at the time, to a Binance deposit address. A second wallet moved 34,200 QNT worth roughly $8 million, with portions subsequently reaching addresses identified as Coinbase and Kraken deposits. Crypto Basic
The chain proves the tokens moved and that some reached exchange deposit infrastructure. It does not prove the owners sold them.
That distinction is especially relevant because QNT experienced a sharp price expansion and heavy trading volume around the transfers. Dormant holders often become more active during rapid repricing, but wallet movement alone cannot establish their intent.
The larger wallet still moved more QNT than was immediately traced into exchanges, leaving part of the destination picture unresolved.
TOKEN RECON ASSESSMENT
This is the kind of whale activity worth tracking because three independent conditions align: long dormancy, a substantial price move and confirmed transfers into identified exchange infrastructure.
The exchange deposits increase the amount of QNT immediately available for trading, but calling the entire $10 million movement a sale would overstate what the blockchain proves.
The useful confirmation is what happens next to the remaining transferred tokens. Additional deposits into exchange addresses would strengthen the distribution interpretation. Movement into fresh self-custody would not.
