A bitcoin address that Arkham attributes to former Irish drug trafficker Clifton Collins transferred 500 BTC on October 20. The underlying transaction moved the coins in a single on-chain event worth approximately $41.5 million at the time.
Arkham’s investigation identifies the destination as the same address used in two prior transfers and labels it as a Coinbase Prime deposit address. The chain proves the transfer. The Collins attribution and exchange label depend on Arkham’s entity mapping.
This was the fifth 500 BTC movement from the attributed cluster in 2026, bringing the total moved to 2,500 BTC. Arkham estimates 3,500 BTC remained, worth roughly $288 million at its publication price.
The March transfer aligned with an Irish police announcement concerning a cryptocurrency seizure. No comparable official announcement accompanied the October movement. Arkham assesses law enforcement as the most likely actor because of the repeated transfer sizes and destinations, but that remains an inference rather than a confirmed identity for the sender.
A deposit to an identified exchange service is not proof of a sale. Coinbase Prime also provides institutional custody, and the public chain does not reveal whether the assets were liquidated, retained or moved on behalf of an authority.
TOKEN RECON ASSESSMENT
The strongest fact is a verified 500 BTC transfer into an address labeled as Coinbase Prime. The market impact cannot be inferred without evidence of a subsequent sale. A government or court statement, a further transaction out of the deposit infrastructure or a documented disposal process would convert this from attributed movement into confirmed asset disposition.
