Ethena is expanding beyond crypto-native yield products and into everyday payments with the beta launch of Ethena Pay.
The self-custodial payments app is built on Avalanche and integrates Ethena’s USDe synthetic dollar. Initial access is rolling out across 48 countries, including markets in Asia, Latin America, Africa and the Middle East.
Ethena Pay combines payments with savings-style yields and cashback incentives. Depending on account tier, users can receive up to 6% APY on eligible balances and additional cashback at selected merchants.
The United States and European Union are not part of the initial beta rollout.
