Altcoin Intel
The Ethereum-to-Bitcoin (ETH/BTC) ratio is back in focus after Fundstrat co-founder Tom Lee identified it as a key gauge for the broader crypto market.
The pair is trading near 0.0286 BTC, recovering from June’s lows around 0.026 BTC and approaching a resistance level that has capped previous advances. Recent price action has produced a series of higher lows, suggesting Ethereum is gradually regaining strength against Bitcoin after several months of underperformance.
A breakout above the current range would indicate improving relative performance for Ethereum, a condition that has historically coincided with stronger participation across the altcoin market.

Market Context
Recent market data points to early signs of capital rotating beyond Bitcoin.
CoinGlass’ Altcoin Season Index has climbed to 58, its highest reading in recent weeks, while Bitcoin dominance has eased from 58.1% to 56.3%. Although the market remains short of a confirmed altseason, the shift suggests investors are gradually increasing exposure to large-cap altcoins.
Institutional flows also appear to be broadening. While Bitcoin investment products have experienced recent outflows, funds tracking Ethereum, XRP, and Solana have continued attracting fresh capital.
Intelligence Assessment
The ETH/BTC ratio remains one of the clearest indicators of capital rotation within the crypto market.
If Ethereum breaks above the current resistance zone, it would strengthen the case that capital is beginning to move beyond Bitcoin into higher-beta assets. That would also support continued improvement in the Altcoin Season Index and broader participation across major altcoins.
Until that breakout occurs, the market remains in transition. Capital is becoming less concentrated in Bitcoin, but the broader rotation has yet to gain enough momentum to confirm a full altcoin cycle.
