Kraken Adds USDT0 Transfers on Stellar as Stablecoin Rails Keep Expanding

Kraken activated deposits and withdrawals for USDT0 on Stellar on September 4, expanding the number of rails available for moving dollar-denominated liquidity.

Stellar transactions typically settle within seconds and incur extremely small network fees, making the network particularly suited to payment and stablecoin applications.

Kraken says users can now move USDT0 through Stellar with settlement around five seconds under normal network conditions.

The integration is another incremental step in the larger stablecoin infrastructure race.

Stablecoin adoption increasingly depends not just on issuance but on interoperability: exchanges, banks, payment companies and blockchain networks need reliable ways to move the same unit of dollar liquidity across multiple environments.

Stellar has increasingly positioned itself specifically around payments, cross-border settlement, fiat ramps and financial institutions rather than competing primarily as a general-purpose speculative ecosystem.

TOKEN RECON ASSESSMENT

The individual integration is modest. The infrastructure trend is not.

Stablecoins are spreading across multiple settlement networks while exchanges serve as the routing layer between them.

Watch for transaction volume rather than announcement volume. The networks that capture real stablecoin settlement are the ones that matter.
