XRP Ledger Batch Upgrade Delayed After Validator Support Resets

XRP Ledger’s BatchV1_1 amendment has been delayed until at least October 9 after validator support briefly fell below the network’s required threshold.

Batch would allow users to submit as many as eight operations together. An all-or-nothing option could support simultaneous delivery and payment for tokenized assets, preventing one side of a transaction from completing without the other.

The corrected amendment recovered support from 30 of 35 tracked trusted validators on September 25, restarting the required two-week approval period, according to the XRPL amendment dashboard and CoinDesk. coindesk.com

The feature is already on its second implementation. Developers withdrew the first version after discovering a critical signature-checking flaw, then released the corrected code in XRP Ledger software version 3.3.0.

PermissionDelegationV1_1 also lost qualifying support and now could activate no earlier than October 8. That amendment would let account owners assign limited operational duties without sharing the signing keys controlling their funds.

TOKEN RECON ASSESSMENT

The delay shows the activation safeguard operating as designed. Support must remain above 80% continuously, not merely reach that level once.

Batch could improve tokenized-asset settlement, but the earlier signature flaw warrants caution. Watch validator support, independent code review and the first production integrations after activation.
