OKX Adds Circle, Ripple and Standard Chartered Backing at $25 Billion Valuation

OKX has added Circle, Ripple, Standard Chartered’s SC Ventures and quantitative investment firm Qube Research & Technologies to its shareholder base in an extension of the funding round that previously brought in Intercontinental Exchange. CoinDesk

The exchange did not disclose the amount raised. Reporting places the valuation at approximately $25 billion, unchanged from the earlier financing.

The investor mix is more informative than the undisclosed check size. Circle and Ripple operate major stablecoin and payments businesses, Standard Chartered is a global bank, and ICE owns the New York Stock Exchange. Their participation arrives as OKX expands beyond conventional crypto exchange activity into payments, stablecoins and tokenized securities. CoinDesk

The preceding Evening scan covered OKXICE, the 50-50 venture between OKX and ICE that plans a permissioned 24/7 venue for tokenized U.S. equities. The new financing is a separate development because it broadens the strategic capital base around that expansion.

TOKEN RECON ASSESSMENT

OKX is assembling partners across the same infrastructure layers now converging around tokenized finance: exchange distribution, stablecoin settlement, banking and securities-market infrastructure. The flat valuation suggests investors are buying strategic exposure rather than repricing the company sharply higher.

The next meaningful evidence is operational. Capital relationships become more consequential if they produce custody, settlement, stablecoin or tokenized-asset integrations that move measurable volume.
