Orca and Loopscale Merge as Formation to Finance AI and Robotics Assets

Solana decentralized exchange Orca and lending protocol Loopscale have merged into a new organization called Formation, targeting capital formation for AI, energy, robotics, and defense businesses.

Formation will combine Orca’s trading and liquidity infrastructure with Loopscale’s credit and vault systems. The existing protocols will remain components of the ORCA and xORCA token network, while Loopscale co-founder Luke Truitt will lead the combined organization.

The team plans to develop issuer tools and investment strategies during the next 12 months and says it is working with Figure, Shinhan Asset Management, Superstate, R3, and Securitize. Financial terms of the merger were not disclosed.

The Block’s merger report says Orca has processed more than $550 billion in trading volume since 2021. Loopscale reports more than $150 million in deposits and over $2 billion of loans. Those historical figures establish operating products, but they do not show that Formation has financed an AI or robotics company.

TOKEN RECON ASSESSMENT

Formation qualifies as AI Crypto intelligence because the stated strategy links onchain issuance, credit, and secondary liquidity to capital-intensive AI and robotics assets. The merger itself is verified; the sector expansion remains a plan. The proof will be a named financing with documented asset rights, cash flows, collateral, investor protections, and observable settlement.
