Arbitrum Reports $6.19M H1 Income as Institutional Adoption Expands Across Robinhood, Mastercard and PayPal

The Arbitrum Foundation’s first-half 2026 report describes what it calls the ecosystem’s “institutional moment,” with multiple large financial and technology companies building on the Ethereum Layer-2 stack.

Arbitrum processed roughly 478 million transactions during H1, about 18% of its lifetime total, pushing cumulative transactions to approximately 2.7 billion. Average monthly stablecoin transfer volume surpassed $70 billion.

The Foundation highlighted Robinhood, Mastercard, PayPal and LG among organizations expanding their use of Arbitrum infrastructure.

Financially, ArbitrumDAO generated approximately $6.19 million of income across transaction fees, Timeboost auctions, Expansion Program licensing and treasury income. The Foundation reported gross margins around 97% across those revenue streams.

The licensing model may prove particularly important. Dedicated chains built using Arbitrum technology can generate revenue for the broader ecosystem even when transactions occur outside Arbitrum One.

TOKEN RECON ASSESSMENT

Arbitrum is increasingly positioning itself as blockchain infrastructure rather than simply another Layer-2 network.

Institutional chains built on the stack could make software licensing and infrastructure revenue nearly as important as direct transaction fees.
