Dataline has raised a $10.6 million seed round to build a decentralized data network designed for AI agents. Lattice and Samsung-backed Dispersion Capital co-led the round, with participation from Coinbase Ventures, Symbolic Capital, Anagram and Robinhood co-founder Vlad Tenev. Co-founder Nuo Shi told The Block that the round closed in April through a SAFE with a token warrant; the valuation was not disclosed. The Block
The project routes on-chain and off-chain data through a common interface, normalizes responses and assigns confidence scores based on source agreement, freshness and coverage. Its whitepaper describes REST and Model Context Protocol access, plus economic staking intended to discipline data quality. The protocol is positioned as an input layer for autonomous agents rather than another human-facing analytics dashboard. dataline.xyz
Dataline says the service is live. Shi reported coverage of about 50 sources, while the current whitepaper says more than 20 verified sources. That difference may reflect expansion, but neither document supplies an independent source-by-source audit. The whitepaper’s latency, pricing and user figures are project claims, not externally verified performance metrics.
A DLINE token is planned for payments, access and staking. The company expects a public sale on Base through Uniswap’s continuous clearing auction system before year-end, with more detail promised this week. Sale size, valuation, allocations, vesting, unlocks and jurisdictional restrictions were not public at scan time.
The identifiable team, named institutional backers, functioning product documentation and reported live integrations clear the New Project Recon threshold. The missing token economics and independently verified usage data keep it in a diligence phase.
TOKEN RECON ASSESSMENT
Dataline is attacking a real agent-infrastructure problem: an autonomous system needs machine-readable evidence about data quality before it can safely act. The hard part is proving that its confidence score and staking design improve outcomes rather than merely wrapping existing feeds. The forthcoming sale terms, a verifiable source registry and reproducible latency and accuracy tests are the confirmation points.
