Robinhood Chain’s daily revenue fell from $5.44 million on September 4 to $943,728 on September 10, an 82.6% decline, even though transaction and exchange activity remained comparatively strong.
Network fees declined from approximately $6.04 million to $1.05 million over the same period, according to The Defiant’s analysis of DefiLlama data.
The divergence resulted primarily from falling transaction costs rather than disappearing users. Average gas cost dropped from roughly $0.43 at the September 4 congestion peak to approximately $0.077 on September 10.
Decentralized-exchange volume was approximately $1.87 billion on September 10, close to the $1.89 billion processed on September 4. Seven-day DEX volume reached $12.34 billion through September 10, up 26.5% from the previous week.
The latest DefiLlama dashboard shows approximately $935 million in DeFi TVL, $1.04 billion in stablecoins and more than $12 billion in seven-day decentralized-exchange volume. Those figures can change continuously.
Lower revenue with stable activity can be interpreted in two ways. It may show the network is scaling efficiently after temporary congestion. It may also reveal how much early revenue depended on unusually elevated gas prices rather than sustainable base demand.
The chain’s economics should therefore be evaluated across several metrics: transactions, users, applications, liquidity, fees and the cost of maintaining the network—not revenue alone.
TOKEN RECON ASSESSMENT
Robinhood Chain has retained meaningful activity while blockspace became much cheaper.
That is good for users but more complicated for network economics.
Token Recon is watching whether applications generate sustainable revenue independently of gas spikes, whether TVL remains after incentives normalize and whether trading activity broadens beyond a small group of dominant applications.
