Wyoming Adds Onchain Reserve Verification to State Stablecoin

Wyoming is expanding the infrastructure behind its state-issued Frontier Stable Token, or FRNT, by integrating Chainlink Proof of Reserve.

The system is designed to provide blockchain-based verification of the reserves backing the stablecoin rather than relying exclusively on periodic offchain disclosures.

Independent accounting data will be produced by The Network Firm under established attestation standards and then made available onchain through Chainlink’s infrastructure.

Wyoming previously selected Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol as the exclusive cross-chain framework supporting FRNT.

The state is also working toward implementing Chainlink’s Secure Mint architecture. Under that model, new tokens could only be issued when verified reserve values are sufficient to support circulating supply.

That design is intended to reduce the risk of unsupported issuance and create a more transparent relationship between reserve assets and tokens circulating on public blockchain networks.

FRNT represents one of the most significant U.S. public-sector stablecoin experiments because it moves blockchain settlement from private industry into a state-backed financial structure.

TOKEN RECON ASSESSMENT

Wyoming is quietly building a potential template for government-linked digital dollars.

The key innovation is not the stablecoin alone. It is the movement toward continuous, machine-verifiable reserve transparency rather than asking users to trust periodic statements.
