Altcoin Intel
XRP is showing signs of renewed momentum after multiple technical indicators aligned with improving on-chain activity.
The asset recently triggered a Tom DeMark Sequential buy signal while also forming a Morning Star Doji pattern on the daily chart. Together, the signals suggest selling pressure may be easing following the recent correction.
Market participants are now watching whether buyers can generate enough volume to challenge the next resistance level around $1.30.
On-chain data also points to stronger network participation. Daily active addresses increased from roughly 23,000 in mid-June to nearly 39,500 by the end of the month, indicating that network activity has expanded alongside the recent recovery.
Market Context
The broader market has yet to confirm a full rotation into altcoins.
According to CoinMarketCap’s Altcoin Season Index, the market currently sits at 46/100, keeping crypto firmly in Bitcoin Season. The index measures whether the top 100 altcoins have outperformed Bitcoin over the past 90 days. A reading above 75 typically signals a broad-based altcoin rally, while values below 25 indicate strong Bitcoin leadership.
Although the index has recovered from its yearly low of 14 recorded in December 2025, it remains well below last year’s peak of 78, suggesting that capital has yet to rotate across the wider altcoin market.
The current reading aligns with other market indicators. Bitcoin continues to capture the majority of liquidity, while gains across altcoins remain concentrated in a small number of large-cap and sector-specific projects. Instead of a broad rally, investors are favouring assets backed by stronger adoption, institutional demand, or ecosystem developments.
Intelligence Assessment
XRP is beginning to outperform parts of the altcoin market, supported by improving technical structure and rising network activity. However, one asset alone is unlikely to shift market leadership.
For a broader altcoin recovery to take hold, participation needs to expand beyond a handful of large-cap tokens. A sustained rise in the Altcoin Season Index, weakening Bitcoin dominance, and stronger performance across the wider altcoin market would provide stronger evidence that capital is rotating beyond Bitcoin.
Until those conditions develop, XRP’s recovery is more likely to reflect asset-specific demand than the start of a market-wide altseason.
