CME Moves Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap Futures From Planned to Live

CME Group now lists its Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap futures as live, completing the October 19 launch that had remained subject to regulatory review. The exchange’s official crypto product page confirms four new contracts.

Standard Bitcoin Cash futures represent 250 BCH, while the Micro contract represents 25 BCH. Standard Uniswap futures cover 10,000 UNI, with a Micro contract sized at 1,000 UNI. CME says all four are eligible for block trading.

The contracts give institutional traders centrally cleared tools for hedging or expressing views on a Bitcoin fork asset and a major decentralized-exchange governance token. They also extend CME’s regulated crypto lineup beyond bitcoin, ether, XRP and solana exposure.

No reliable first-session volume or open-interest figure was available at scan time. A live product page confirms availability, but it does not establish that a durable market has formed.

TOKEN RECON ASSESSMENT

The material change is operational: these contracts are no longer a proposal on a calendar. UNI’s inclusion is the more revealing institutional test because it attaches regulated derivatives infrastructure to DeFi exposure. Sustained open interest, two-way market-maker activity and a usable futures basis will determine whether the launch becomes a benchmark or remains a thin contract.
