Dataline has raised $10.6 million in seed financing for a decentralized data network designed to supply autonomous agents with normalized on-chain and off-chain information. Lattice and Samsung-backed Dispersion Capital co-led the round, with participation from Symbolic Capital, Coinbase Ventures, Anagram and Robinhood co-founder Vlad Tenev.
The company, formerly known as Tearline, describes a two-sided network. Data providers answer feed and custom-data requests, while agents receive schema-normalized outputs with confidence scores. Dataline says roughly 50 data sources are live and reports 19.4 million on-chain transactions with a 96.4% task-success rate. Those operating figures are company claims reported by The Block, not independently audited metrics.
Status and chain: The network is operating, and a public token sale is planned on Base through Uniswap’s Continuous Clearing Auction system. The company expects to disclose auction details next week and launch the token before year-end.
Token and funding: The April financing was structured as a SAFE with token warrants. The public-sale target, token supply, valuation, allocation, lockups and contract address have not been published. No token contract should be treated as official until Dataline and the auction venue disclose matching details.
Team and backers: Co-founder Nuo Shi confirmed the financing to The Block. The named institutional backers provide identifiable counterparties, but investor participation does not validate the network’s security or economics.
Traction: The combination of a live data service, named sources, reported transaction history and a disclosed financing round clears the initial recon threshold. The central unresolved issue is whether the transaction count represents recurring external agent demand or internal and incentivized activity.
Risks: Data provenance, manipulation resistance, confidence-score calibration and slashing rules are not yet independently tested. Agents can make bad decisions from timely but incorrect data. Token warrants and a coming public sale also create dilution and disclosure risks before full tokenomics are known.
TOKEN RECON ASSESSMENT
Dataline is one of the stronger current AI-crypto candidates because it pairs financing with a functioning product and a specific token-distribution mechanism. Token Recon is watching the auction documents, verified Base contract, provider economics and independent evidence that agents pay for data repeatedly. A sale announcement without transparent supply, vesting and usage metrics would weaken the case.
