U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded another $137.9 million of net outflows on Friday, 23 October, extending the two-day withdrawal total to $773.5 million. The completed Farside Investors dataset confirms that Thursday’s $635.6 million exit was followed by a smaller but still negative session. Farside Investors
BlackRock’s IBIT accounted for $110.3 million of Friday’s redemptions, while Fidelity’s FBTC lost $31.8 million. Morgan Stanley’s MSBT took in $4.2 million, partially offsetting those withdrawals. The remaining funds reported zero or no flow in Farside’s table.
The weekly result complicates a simple flight narrative. Monday and Wednesday produced inflows of $526.7 million and $524.8 million respectively. Adding all five sessions gives a net weekly inflow of $301.2 million, despite the sharp reversal at the end of the week.
Token Recon calculated the weekly and two-day totals directly from Farside’s daily fund table. The method sums the reported net flow for each trading day from 19 through 23 October. It does not estimate intraday creations, secondary-market turnover or unreported transactions.
The cross-asset picture was softer. Farside’s Ether ETF table shows a $4.4 million inflow on Friday but a $220.7 million net outflow for the week. Solana products finished Friday flat and lost $17.6 million over the same five sessions.
Bitcoin traded near $80,600 during the morning scan as the broader crypto market remained under pressure. Price weakness alongside late-week ETF redemptions indicates fragile risk appetite, but the positive weekly fund total shows institutions were not uniformly exiting.
TOKEN RECON ASSESSMENT
The end-of-week reversal is a warning on marginal demand, not proof of institutional abandonment. A second negative session confirms that Thursday was not an isolated print, while the positive weekly total shows how quickly the signal changes with the selected window. A continued outflow sequence next week would carry more weight than this two-day drawdown. Renewed creations would instead frame the move as volatile rebalancing around a weak market.
