BlackRock’s Bitcoin ETF Pulls in $665 Million While Rival Funds Leak Capital

BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust recorded $665.16 million of net inflows on October 19, its largest daily intake since October 7, 2025, according to SoSoValue data cited by The Block.

The strength was concentrated rather than market-wide. U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs finished with $526.6 million of combined net inflows after redemptions from Fidelity and Grayscale offset part of IBIT’s intake. Spot ether ETFs moved in the opposite direction, recording $103.3 million of net outflows for a fourth consecutive session.

Bitcoin did not convert that institutional demand into a breakout. It traded near $81,400 at scan time after failing to hold the $83,000 area. The divergence indicates that ETF buying met enough selling elsewhere to keep the market contained.

IBIT held approximately $66.37 billion in net assets after the session. Its scale gives BlackRock a growing share of the regulated bitcoin investment channel, but one fund’s inflow cannot by itself establish broad risk appetite when competing products and ether funds are losing assets.

TOKEN RECON ASSESSMENT

The useful signal is concentration. IBIT demand was strong enough to overwhelm losses elsewhere, yet spot price still failed at $83,000. A broader institutional turn would require follow-through across more than one fund and price acceptance above the resistance zone. Without that confirmation, the session shows a large buyer entering a market that still has substantial available supply.
