Fhenix Brings Encrypted Smart-Contract Computation to Ethereum and Arbitrum

Fhenix has launched its CoFHE confidential-computing system on Ethereum and Arbitrum mainnet, giving applications a way to calculate over encrypted values without exposing the underlying balances or inputs. The Fhenix project site lists the production deployments alongside test environments. fhenix.io

CoFHE uses fully homomorphic encryption through an external coprocessor. Smart-contract logic remains visible, while selected data can remain encrypted during computation. Fhenix says tokens can operate in public and confidential modes, with users switching between them in one transaction rather than wrapping assets or moving them across a bridge.

Two applications were identified at launch: Fluton, a confidential trading venue, and Alpha Engine, a private portfolio-management system. Unchained reported that more applications are planned, including a confidential stablecoin project with Tandem.

The mainnet deployment is the evidence that clears this project for recon. Fhenix has a public team, documentation, funded development history and working infrastructure on two established chains. No verified public token or token-generation event was found during this scan, so any claim that participation qualifies users for a future asset remains speculative.

The largest risks sit in performance and trust architecture. Encrypted computation is more resource-intensive than ordinary execution, and the security model extends beyond the base chain to the coprocessor, key management and access-control design. Mainnet availability is therefore a technical milestone, not proof of production-scale demand.

TOKEN RECON ASSESSMENT

Fhenix is attempting to make confidentiality a contract-level feature instead of a separate chain or wrapped-asset environment. That design could be useful for institutional finance and private trading, but adoption should be measured through live application volume, independent audits and the resilience of its key-management system. The confirmation threshold is sustained use with encrypted state, not the number of announced integrations.
